Genesis 3 and Luke Chapter 10

Read this Titus 1:2, "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began ..."

One of the first question to ask yourself is, "Do you want eternal life?"  The next questions to ask is, "Does anything else really matter" and "Who has this power to give it? " Luke Chapter 10 starts with, "After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. 2 He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few."

Are you appointed for eternal life or death?  Are you appointed to tell others? We are in a sense all appointed to do something  (Romans 9:14-24). Good or bad. Right or wrong. Accepts truth or rejects it. For those of us who have Eternal Life and have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, we are called to be the workers of the harvest, just like the 72 were appointed to go out. (Micah 6:9)

Open God's word to Luke chapter 10. What is Luke chapter 10 all about.? If you open to Genesis chapter 3 you will see a parallel story of Luke chapter 10, in which Eve has to asked herself, "Before taking the forbidden fruit, will what I am about to do give me eternal life and will this spread to others?" You see, Adam and Eve were appointed to follow specific directions by the Lord God. They were to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it. Eternal life would have reigned in, if the fruit had not been eaten. In Luke chapter 10, Jesus is appointing 72 people to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it. He is telling his disciples to preach the kingdom of God is near. What is in the Kingdom of God, well, the tree of life is there, that is eternal life; Revelation 22: 1- 4. Is Jesus appointing you like he did the 72?

Here are some warnings:

Matthew 21:43 "Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.
Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 10:7 As you go, preach, saying, ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!’ 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers*, and cast out demons. Freely you received, so freely give.
Matthew 18:2 Jesus called a little child to himself, and set him in their midst, 18:3 and said, “Most certainly I tell you, unless you turn, and become as little children, you will in no way enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
Matthew 24:14  This Good News of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
John 3:3 Jesus answered him, “Most certainly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see the Kingdom of God.”
John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and spirit, he can’t enter into the Kingdom of God!
Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching good news concerning the Kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
Acts 19:8  He entered into the synagogue, and spoke boldly for a period of three months, reasoning and persuading about the things concerning the Kingdom of God.

Saved from sin or the gift of Eternal Life? Which one do you need to accept?

All you hear today is be saved. Has anyone told you of Eternal life and why you do not have it? You cannot be saved from something unless you know why. Nobody goes to the doctor and tells the doctor to save me and does not ask what is the problem. Why and how can I avoid it. Or is there a cure. There are 2 different people in this world, as far as Christians live. Those who are saved and those who have Eternal Life. Saved people keep sinning, Luke 18:14,  Romans 6:1 and Hebrews 10:26 and cannot give up the world and it pleasures. Don't you know that Jesus died for everyone? That means everyone is saved! 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 says Christ died for all! Has salvation changed you? Or do you still resemble the world? Those who have Eternal life, give up this world and all its pleasures; Psalms 16:11, Matthew 11:25-26  and Hebrews 11:25.

I want you to be able to see clearly, hear clearly and understand all that God, because of Jesus Christ and through the workings of the Holy Spirit, has in store for those who do his work. Jesus is appointing those he ask, "Follow me." You cannot take the world with you. Did the Father ask you to follow Jesus?

Think about this question - What should I expect when entering a church building?

Question, question and more questions. Life is one question after another. Some say it is a choice, but ultimately when the clock goes off in the morning, it is really asking you, "Should I keep playing or are you going to do something, like turn me off?" Our Father is calling people everyday, just by the creation he bore (Romans 2). The problem is that rocks, trees, water and clocks cannot carry on a conversation. They are merely witnesses to God existence and there is a Creator who made all things that are invisible and visible.

Read Luke Chapter 10. Ok, read it again, this time read Genesis chapter 3. There are saved individuals or people; those who are called to eternal life. There are people who gather in the name of Jesus; those who are called the Church. There is Jesus; he is the one who bore our sins. Their is a Father who wants a relationship with you and I.

1 John 5:10 He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who doesn’t believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning his Son. 5:11 The testimony is this, that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 5:12 He who has the Son has the life. He who doesn’t have God’s Son doesn’t have the life. 5:13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

Choose the Father who gives life (read)

Before undertaking anything into your body, that is the temple of the Holy Spirit, you need a couple of things. Please pray and ask God the Father, through Jesus Christ, to forgive your sins and you want to repent of them (John 14:12-14). Asking the Father to open your eyes to see, give you ears to hear and the understanding to know his ways (Isaiah 30:18-22). Be baptized in the same way Jesus was baptized, with water and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:13-17). Believing that all that God the Father has said in his Holy Word is truth. Follow after the One who is the giver of life; Jesus Christ (John 8:31-32).

I am not trying to save you, as I cannot do that for you. I can only plant seed and water (1 Corinthians 3:5-9  and Matthew 15: 10-20). The Kingdom of God is near. Please accept eternal life through the offering of the Father, because of Jesus' sacrifice. Repent, be baptized in water in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Ask the Father that you want to receive the Holy Spirit. Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it.
